Meet Our Members: Courtney Smith

Courtney grew up in the fishing village of Flinders and brings a deep love of sport, community, technology and family into everything he does. A passionate advocate for curiosity and innovation, he has led community fundraising initiatives and served in key local committee roles.

With over 25 years of experience across product development, sales and marketing, Courtney is the Founder and Director of Kynection, Quallogi and the Firefly Initiative. He focuses on transforming “dirty and dangerous” industries through mobile-first technology, helping businesses become safer, smarter and more scalable.

A sci-fi fan who admires Iron Man’s innovation and resilience (and battles a weakness for Caramello Koalas), Courtney believes curiosity is not just a trait, but a responsibility. When applied deliberately, it becomes a powerful advantage for individuals, organisations and communities alike.

If you’re ready to rethink how you work and grow, his Masterclass offers a practical and energising framework to turn curiosity into momentum. https://www.uncommonexperiences.com.au/did-curiosity-really-kill-the-cat/
