No matter how much success you’ve built in your career or business, there’s always a new skill to master—and that’s exactly the magic of this group. We are a closed-invite crew of like-minded founders and senior leaders getting together to learn, laugh, and level up on the pickleball court.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just trying to figure out how to stay out of the kitchen, this is a space to embrace the beginner mindset alongside great company. Come for the game, stay for the laughs, and connect with a fantastic community.
When: 2nd/3rd Friday of the month (August, September, October)
How the Session Runs:
- Warm-Up: We kick things off at 9:00 AM sharp with a quick stretch and warm-up to get moving.
- The Games: We are strictly capping this at 8 people to ensure everyone gets plenty of playtime (though we may expand to 3 courts/12 people in the future!).
- The Skills Block: Right in the middle of our games, we’ll break for a dedicated 15-minute skills block led by our resident coaches, Courtney Smith and Adam Lopez.
- Post-Game Hydration (10:00 AM onwards): Stick around after the games for an optional hydration session. It’s a completely casual connect with great people, and shoot the breeze.
Where the Money Goes: The $25 fee covers court hire and helps prevent no-shows. We are in this for the game and the crew, not for profit. Any surplus funds at the end of the year will be put toward building future talent—either by funding a Common Grounds Internship or via a donation to Monash Business School.

A Note on November… 🎄 For our regulars and the absolute legends of the group , save some energy for November. Courtney will be hosting a special Christmas Pickleball session and BBQ at his place. We can’t promise you won’t get a kitchen fault, especially since we’ll be taking the game straight to the actual Smith’s kitchen!
