He has a strong track record of helping large, complex organisations solve tough problems, transform existing processes, and build new capabilities through technology-enabled change and performance improvement.
Throughout his career, Abaran has led complex technology, regulatory, and data programs, working closely with executive and delivery teams to navigate uncertainty, resource constraints, and tight timelines to achieve meaningful business outcomes. What drives him most is partnering with teams to overcome challenges and deliver the results clients are truly aiming for.
In recent years, Abaran has focused heavily on financial services and regulatory transformation, particularly within the Consumer Data Right (CDR). Through his firm, RedCrew, he has worked with mutual banks, non-bank lenders, government, and industry participants to design Australia’s CDR regime and support organisations in achieving compliance readiness. Today, RedCrew’s CDR Check-Up program helps lenders assess readiness, close compliance gaps, and turn regulatory pressure into strategic advantage.
