SUMMARY:OMSB Evening Experience
DESCRIPTION:We created Uncommon Experiences because we dislike networking but love connecting. Talking to interesting people who are interested in us. If we couldn’t find this\, then others must be having the same issue. \nWe eliminated everything people dislike about conventional networking to make an intimate\, highly curated\, invitation-only experience and community. Complete with a connection framework designed to accelerate the building of relationships and mutual understanding without being “sold to.” This is Un-Networking. \nIt’s Common Sense\, yet almost every other networking event doesn’t understand the audience attending—who they are as a person or what’s most important to them. People want to work with those they like\, and to like someone\, you must know them. The stronger the relationship\, the more connected you are. The more connected you become\, the longer business relationships will last. We understand you are more than what you do and celebrate and showcase this. We don’t guarantee leads; we enhance relationships. \nWe remove the uncertainty around who you should be introduced to and why.\nWe eliminate superficial small talk like “So\, what do you do?” to go beyond the mundane talk about sports or house prices. We focus on ensuring everyone quickly builds deep connections and high levels of trust. \nYou will not be met with hundreds of business cards thrown at you or a room full of people selling while no one is listening. We call this Business Relations (BR). We are told we are different. We like to think everyone should receive this level of respect. \nOur promise is that at each Uncommon Experiences event you attend\, you will leave more inspired\, energized\, connected\, and motivated than when you walked in. \nWhen was the last event you attended that offered this kind of promise? \nPurpose of Each Event\nA fun and relaxed night out with your peers. We’ll help facilitate new and meaningful relationships.\n Meet someone new\n Reconnect with someone you know\n Learn something new\n Be reminded of something you know to be valuable but have forgotten \nWho Attends These Events?\nThese dinners are for business owners\, thinkers\, and strategists who want to meet other abundance thinkers. \nReviews & Feedback\nSome feedback from attendees:\n“I’ve attended every kind of corporate event\, but the dinner I attended was hands down the best event I’ve been to in the last 5–6 years.”\n— Alan Hodgson\, Telephony and Network Lead at GPC Asia Pacific \n“When is the next one? I’m booking in now!” \nCan Anyone Attend This Dinner?\nNot exactly. The dinner is for men and by invitation only. We’re happy to review anyone you think would be a good fit\, but it is a private dinner\, and they can attend a future event. \nIf You’d Like to Invite a Guest to Join:\nPlease check that he meets the following key criteria before extending an invitation:\n Is somebody you’d willingly invite to dinner at your own home\n Someone who actively helps others\n Has an abundance mindset\n A friend you feel you can rely on in any situation \n Got Questions? SUMMARY:Uncommon Local – West Day Experience
DESCRIPTION:It’s Common Sense to connect with amazing people\, and we created How the West was Won First Friday to bring the people we know who live in the West to connect and truly get to know one another. An extension that is a little more relaxed as an added benefit for our members to further build stronger relationships with each other and their friends and contacts who live in the West. \nI moved to the West a few months before COVID and knew no one. It was lonely and a long way to visit or meet in the CBD. Its great to meet wonderful people and find interesting and unique restaurants\, wineries and hidden establishments while continuing to build strong relationships with people that have also decided that the West is Best. We are always looking for fantastic suggestions and family favourites to add to the list. \nThis Booking is so that we know who is coming\, as we have grown\, it has become harder to book a place. You will still purchase the meal you wish and pay for your alcohol \nWe also have a Golf Group that tees off and completes 9 holes before joining us for lunch. If you are interested in ruining a good walk\, happy to introduce you. They play Ambrose at the amazing golf courses we have around the West. We have another group for people who reside on the Mornington Peninsula. We intend to have four different groups around Melbourne and bring them together once a year for a Golf Competition. \nWe created Uncommon Experiences because we dislike networking but love connecting. Talking to interesting people who are interested in us. If we couldn’t find this\, then others must be having the same issue. \nWe eliminated everything people dislike about conventional networking to make an intimate\, highly curated\, invitation-only experience and community. SUMMARY:Uncommon Local – Yarra Day Experience
DESCRIPTION:“Monthly Friday lunches that help good people build genuine local friendships.”  \n  \nMaking friends as an adult is hard. Finding people who live near you and whom you genuinely enjoy spending time with is even harder. \n  \nIt’s strange when you think about it. As kids\, friendships happened naturally. At school\, on the sporting field or simply by asking\, “Do you want to play?” As adults\, somehow it turns into calendars\, cancelled plans\, group chats that slowly die and months of saying\, “We should catch up soon.” \n  \nMost of us chose where we live for a reason. More space. Better schools. A quieter lifestyle. To be closer to family. Maybe a tree change or a sea change. We love where we live\, whether that’s the West\, the Yarra Ranges\, Mornington Peninsula\, Daylesford or Macedon. \nThe irony is we often know people all over Melbourne\, but hardly anyone around the corner. \nSomewhere between careers\, raising families\, renovating houses\, walking the dog and trying to stay on top of life\, local friendships quietly disappeared. We don’t think it happened overnight. It just happened. \n  \nThat’s why we created The Uncommon Local Experience. \n  \nIt’s a simple idea. Once a month we choose a great local venue and invite good people to share lunch together. No private rooms. No name tags. No awkward networking games. No forced introductions or carefully planned seating charts. Just a relaxed lunch where conversations happen the way they always have—naturally. \n  \nYou order a main meal from the menu\, grab a drink if you’d like one\, sit wherever you feel comfortable and enjoy a couple of hours with interesting people who happen to live nearby. Bring a friend if you like\, or come on your own. You’ll quickly realise everyone is there for the same reason. \n  \nWhat surprises people is how quickly it feels normal. Someone recommends a local café you’ve never heard of. Someone tells you about a walking track nearby. You discover you both have kids at the same school\, support the same football club or live five minutes from each other. Before long\, these aren’t just people you met over lunch. They’re the people you’ll bump into at the market\, wave to at the dog park\, see at your local café or message when you feel like getting out for breakfast. \n  \nThat’s why people keep coming back. \n  \nOne lunch is enjoyable. Coming regularly is where the magic happens. Familiar faces become friends. New people are welcomed in. The group grows\, but it never loses the relaxed feeling that made people fall in love with it in the first place. It doesn’t feel like networking because it isn’t. It’s simply life happening around a table. \n  \nEvery month we also choose somewhere different\, giving members an excuse to discover another corner of Melbourne. Many people leave with a new favourite restaurant\, a weekend destination or somewhere they return to later with family and friends. \n  \nBy the time Friday arrives\, you’ve usually spent the week looking after work\, clients\, colleagues or family. The weekend will be busy too. We think taking a couple of hours once a month to invest in yourself is one of the healthiest things you can do. \n  \nThe Uncommon Local Experience isn’t about collecting business cards or building a network. \nIt’s about building a life. \n  \nA life where you know the people around you. Where you have someone to call for a coffee\, a walk\, lunch or a last-minute catch-up. The kind of life most of us thought we’d naturally have by now. \n  \nIt turns out all it really takes is putting good people around one table. That’s why we call it The Uncommon Local Experience. \n  \nBecause in today’s world\, genuine local connection has become surprisingly uncommon. \n  \nGot Questions? SUMMARY:Grow Your Business With Your Eyes Shut by Jan Haesner
DESCRIPTION:Why sleep may be the most overlooked performance strategy in business\nBusiness owners commonly believe growth comes from pushing harder\, working longer\, sacrificing more\, and staying switched on. Yet many entrepreneurs are unknowingly operating with an invisible performance handicap: chronic sleep disruption. \nThis practical masterclass explores sleep\, decision-making\, creativity\, emotional resilience\, energy\, metabolism\, relationships\, sustainable business performance\, and how to look and feel a million bucks. \nJan Haesner and Dr Kirstey Holland introduce a biopsychosocial understanding of sleep\, challenging attendees to recognise that sleep is not simply “in their head.” The pressures of business\, responsibility\, stress\, lifestyle habits\, nervous system overload\, and modern work culture impact our sleep. In turn\, sleep is the foundaton for quality thinking\, leadership\, relationships\, and life – and your waistline. \nThis session is practical\, thought-provoking\, relatable\, and immediately applicable for uncommon business leaders navigating demanding lives. \nWHY ATTEND\n\n\nUnderstand the hidden cost poor sleep has on leadership\, creativity\, focus\, emotional regulation\, resilience\, and business performance \n\n\nDiscover why exhaustion is often normalised in business culture\, despite quietly impairing cognition and decision-making \n\n\nLearn why sleep is not simply a nighttime issue — the day makes the night and the night makes the day \n\n\nGain insight into the biological\, psychological\, and social factors that disrupt sleep in modern entrepreneurs \n\n\nCalculate your own “performance sleep deficit” and understand what it may be costing you each week \n\n\nLearn practical strategies that can improve both sleep quality and daytime performance without requiring perfection or unrealistic routines \n\n\nWHAT WE WILL SHOW YOU\n\n\nThe difference between “minimum healthy sleep” and “performance sleep” \n\n\nHow stress\, overwork\, alcohol\, convenience eating\, blood sugar instability\, nervous system overload\, and late-night mental activity disrupt sleep quality \n\n\nWhy business owners are particularly vulnerable to chronic sleep disruption \n\n\nThe biopsychosocial model of sleep: how the body\, mind\, relationships\, stress\, work\, and environment all influence recovery \n\n\nThe impact poor sleep has on emotional regulation\, communication\, creativity\, metabolism\, motivation\, and leadership capacity \n\n\nA simple framework attendees can use to begin improving sleep immediately \n\n\nInteractive audience polls and practical self-assessment exercises to build awareness in real time \n\n\nWHAT ARE THE BENEFITS\n\n\nGreater clarity\, focus\, and strategic thinking \n\n\nImproved resilience and emotional regulation under pressure \n\n\nBetter energy stability and recovery capacity \n\n\nIncreased awareness of personal patterns contributing to fatigue and burnout \n\n\nImproved understanding of the relationship between sleep\, performance\, stress\, metabolism\, and mood \n\n\nA more sustainable approach to leadership\, productivity\, and high performance \n\n\nWHAT WILL YOU WALK AWAY WITH\n\n\nA practical understanding of your current sleep patterns and performance gap \n\n\nA private sleep tracking tool to guide self-awareness and behaviour change \n\n\nA framework for understanding sleep through a biopsychosocial lens \n\n\nPractical and realistic strategies to improve sleep quality in busy modern lives \n\n\nGreater awareness of how sleep influences every area of personal and professional performance \n\n\nA reframed understanding of sleep as a business and leadership strategy\, not simply a health issue \n\n\nHOW WILL YOU FEEL AFTER (THE 1% ER)\n\n\nMore aware of the hidden ways exhaustion may be impacting your life and business \n\n\nEmpowered to make meaningful changes without needing to overhaul your entire lifestyle \n\n\nMore intentional about protecting your energy\, clarity\, creativity\, and recovery \n\n\nRelieved to understand that poor sleep is not a personal failure or lack of discipline \n\n\nMotivated to lead and perform from a more sustainable foundation \n\n\nInspired to treat sleep as one of the most valuable performance assets available to you \n\n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND\n\n\nBusiness owners\, entrepreneurs\, and leaders carrying high levels of responsibility and mental load \n\n\nProfessionals who feel “tired but wired\,” struggle to switch off\, or wake feeling unrefreshed \n\n\nHigh performers wanting greater clarity\, resilience\, creativity\, energy\, and sustainable success \n\n\nTeams and leadership groups interested in wellbeing\, performance\, and long-term capacity \n\n\nPeople navigating burnout\, chronic stress\, sleep disruption\, or nervous system overload \n\n\nAnyone who suspects they are functioning\, but no longer operating at their full potential. \n\n\nAbout the presenter: Jan Haesner \nJan leads the development of BASF Catalysts across Australia & Oceania and brings over 15 years of experience within BASF\, where he works at the intersection of clients\, partners\, and global technical expertise. \nJan’s work sits at the forefront of sustainable chemistry and innovation\, supporting industries such as mining\, gas processing\, chemicals\, and manufacturing with cutting-edge solutions that drive real-world impact. \nJan is known for his ability to manage complex portfolios\, build meaningful connections\, and translate advanced science into practical outcomes for clients and partners alike. SUMMARY:The Abundance Evening Experience
DESCRIPTION:We crave connection and growth. To find it we often turn to networking organisations – all of them characterised by shallow conversations\, transactional relationships\, and the anxiety of impressing others. Lacking trust and accountability. \n  \nThe secret to success in life and business is learning how to connect and form relationships with other people. \n  \nHow can deep relationships be formed based on mutual trust and accountability? How do you rediscover intimate business relationships with depth and meaning? \n  \nThe answer isn’t another app\, networking organisation or course. The answer lies in deep peer-based relationships that start with an abundance mindset at their foundation. \nBy building a space and a framework for giving we build greater trust\, collaboration and abundance in our lives. \n  \n3 reasons why this works:\n• 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲: Give before you ask.\n• 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Build trust and collaboration.\n• 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: Create a space for giving. \n  \n𝐀𝐝𝐝 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 \n\nNetworks are a vehicle for creating value for everyone\, not just claiming it for ourselves.\nIn traditional old-school reciprocity\, people traded value back and forth by only helping the people who helped them and giving to the people from whom they wanted something in return.  \n  \nTo spark a more powerful form of reciprocity instead of trading value\, the aim is to add value. \n  \nThe simple rule of attendance: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐫:\nYou must be willing to do something that will take you five minutes or less for anybody in the room. \n  \nThis increases results by opening the door for you and others to gain benefits from people they’ve never helped— or even met. By creating a norm of adding value\, you transform giving from a zero-sum loss to a win-win gain. \n  \n𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞\nThe key benefits of participating in an abundance circle are:\n• Real problems are solved\n• Increase in knowledge\n• Achieve your goals\n• High-quality connections\n• Career boost\n• Happiness and Health\n• Trust building\n• Reputation increase \n  \n𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬:\n• What you know (your knowledge)\n• What you can do (your skills)\n• Whom you know (your network)\n• What you have (your resources) \n  \nBy developing a strong network\, people gain invaluable access to private information\, diverse skills\, expertise\, and influence. \n  \nPeople go unappreciated because they give everything away for free to the wrong people. By surrounding yourself with other abundant people\, you allow the reciprocity to return to the group. \n  \n𝑴𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒍𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈. SUMMARY:Uncommon Local - Ranges Experience
SUMMARY:Innovation Is Not an Event by Andy Lark
DESCRIPTION:Breaking the biggest myth in innovation\, and the new rules for mastering it\nMost companies treat innovation like a lightning strike: rare\, dramatic\, and out of their control. It isn’t. Innovation is the compounding effect of small changes made everywhere in the business\, every day. It’s not one big idea launched once a year. It’s a hundred small ones\, made routine. \nThat shift changes how you lead. AI has removed most of the old excuses for why innovation was slow or expensive. Every leader now has a faster\, cheaper way to test ideas\, read customer signals\, and act on them. The businesses that build this into a habit will pull ahead. The ones that wait for the next big idea will pay for it. \n\nSoundbites\n\n\nInnovation isn’t a budget line or a department. It’s in everything you do. \n\n\nInnovation is a leadership skill\, not a special event. \n\n\nSmall\, repeatable habits beat big\, rare breakthroughs. \n\n\nAI didn’t just speed up innovation. It removed the excuse not to do it. \n\n\n  \nWhy Attend\n\n\nLearn why treating innovation as a rare event is costing you revenue\, and what to do instead \n\n\nSee specific ways AI is already letting leaders test and launch ideas faster and cheaper than a year ago \n\n\nLeave with frameworks you can put to work immediately\, not just talking points \n\n\n  \nWhat You’ll See\n\n\nReal case studies from businesses putting this into practice \n\n\nConcrete models and frameworks you can apply the day you’re back at your desk \n\n\n  \nThe Payoff\n\n\nA repeatable system for finding and acting on small wins\, instead of waiting for the next big one \n\n\nA clear starting point for using AI to speed up how your teams test and launch ideas \n\n\nPractical tools you can start using tomorrow\, not someday \n\n\n  \nWhat You’ll Walk Away With\n\n\nInsights\, tools\, and frameworks you can apply right away \n\n\nA copy of the presentation \n\n\n  \nHow You’ll Feel Afterwards\nYou’ll leave with a system\, not just an idea: a repeatable way to find and act on small wins instead of waiting around for the next big one. \n\nWho to Invite\, and Why\n\n\nKey players on your team. They need to stop thinking of innovation as one big moment and start seeing it as something they can do in every task\, every week. \n\n\nClients and partners. This is a chance to show them you’re bringing real thinking\, not just to your own business\, but to theirs too. \n\n\n  \nAbout the Presenter:Andy Lark is a world-renowned futurist and marketer\, an International Bestselling Author\, and an entrepreneur – advising leading AI scale-ups and driving growth at Nomni\, OpenMethods and Drinks.com. \n\nOver the past five years\, he has inspired and informed over 150\,000 people in more than 30 countries. Andy has a unique ability to translate technology\, marketing and business trends into real-world applications. His AI workshops and coaching are sought after by leading brands as diverse as Canva\, Tata\, Commerce\, and leading Governments. \n\nHe built Xero from a start-up into a global software powerhouse\, launched apps used by millions\, and built one of the largest eCommerce sites in the world at Dell. He’s played a role in shaping the success of leading sports teams – from F1 to rugby\, football and the Americas Cup. He’s held global CMO roles for Fortune 100 brands including Dell\, Sun\, Nortel and Commonwealth Bank. \n\nWhen not doubling revenue annually at Nomni\, Andy is the Chair of Group Lark & The Accelerants – global brand and business accelerators—and an advisory and non-executive director of multiple global businesses. \n\nAndy is regularly rated in the Top 100 CMOs and digital leaders globally; he also co-authored the NYTimes and Amazon best-seller Augmented—an international bestseller and Amazon top 10 in North America and China. \n\nHis work was recognised with the NZ Government’s prestigious World Class New Zealander Award – and the Flying Kiwi Award on behalf of the NZ Hi-tech sector. SUMMARY:OMSB Evening Experience
DESCRIPTION:OMSB was created to change the way men connect. \n  \nThere are no business pitches\, no formal agenda\, and no pressure to be anything other than yourself. It’s a space where honest conversations\, shared experiences\, and genuine friendships come first. \n  \nBecause the strongest connections aren’t built through networking—they’re built through trust\, authenticity\, and simply showing up for one another. \n  \nNot Networking\, Connection \n  \nWe eliminated everything people dislike about conventional networking to make an intimate\, highly curated\, invitation-only experience and community. Complete with a connection framework designed to accelerate the building of relationships and mutual understanding without being “sold to.” This is Un-Networking. \n  \nIt’s Common Sense\, yet almost every other networking event doesn’t understand the audience attending—who they are as a person or what’s most important to them. People want to work with those they like\, and to like someone\, you must know them. The stronger the relationship\, the more connected you are. The more connected you become\, the longer business relationships will last. We understand you are more than what you do and celebrate and showcase this. We don’t guarantee leads; we enhance relationships. \n  \nWe remove the uncertainty around who you should be introduced to and why.\n\nWe eliminate superficial small talk like “So\, what do you do?” to go beyond the mundane talk about sports or house prices. We focus on ensuring everyone quickly builds deep connections and high levels of trust. \n  \nYou will not be met with hundreds of business cards thrown at you or a room full of people selling while no one is listening. We call this Business Relations (BR). We are told we are different. We like to think everyone should receive this level of respect. \n  \nOur promise is that at each Uncommon Experiences event you attend\, you will leave more inspired\, energised\, connected\, and motivated than when you walked in. \n  \nWhen was the last event you attended that offered this kind of promise? \n  \nPurpose of Each Event \nA fun and relaxed night out with your peers. We’ll help facilitate new and meaningful relationships.\n▪ Meet someone new\n▪ Reconnect with someone you know\n▪ Learn something new\n▪ Be reminded of something you know to be valuable but have forgotten \n  \nWho Attends These Events? \nThese dinners are for business owners\, thinkers\, and strategists who want to meet other abundance thinkers. \n  \nCan Anyone Attend This Dinner?\nNot exactly. This dinner is for men and is by invitation only. We’re happy to review anyone you think would be a good fit\, but it is a private dinner\, and they can attend a future event. \n  \nIf You’d Like to Invite a Guest to Join:\nPlease check that he meets the following key criteria before extending an invitation: \n\nIs somebody you’d willingly invite to dinner at your own home\nSomeone who actively helps others\nHas an abundance mindset\nA friend you feel you can rely on in any situation\n\n  \nGot Questions? SUMMARY:Members Dinner Lite
DESCRIPTION:Some of the strongest relationships in Uncommon have started around a dinner table. \n  \nOur Mini Members Dinner is a more intimate version of our Members Only Dinner\, bringing together a small group of members for deeper conversations and stronger connections. With fewer people around the table\, there is more opportunity to share experiences\, exchange ideas\, and truly get to know one another. \n  \nNo presentations\, no formalities\, and no agenda—just great food\, meaningful conversations\, and the chance to build relationships that extend well beyond the evening itself. \n  \nGot Questions? SUMMARY:You're Not Busy. You're Programmed by Damien Gooden
DESCRIPTION:How do you butter your bread? \nWHY ATTEND \nQuestion – how much of the action we take is genuinely considered as opposed to ‘the way it has always been done’ \n\nWHAT WE WILL SHOW YOU \n\n\nThere can be consequences to complacency \n\n\nAutopilot is meant for airplanes\, not humans \n\n\nHow to become aware of your routines & habits – both good and bad. \n\n\n\nWHAT ARE THE BENEFITS \n\n\nHear some real life stories about change \n\n\nRealise just how easy change can be \n\n\nReflect on what is possible for you \n\n\n\nWHAT WILL YOU WALK AWAY WITH \n\n\nImpetus to change a bad habit and/or routine – TODAY! \n\n\nIncreased curiosity around your behaviours – helping you make better choices \n\n\nYour \n\n\n\nHOW WILL YOU FEEL AFTER (the 1% er) \n\n\nCurious \n\n\nIntrigued \n\n\nMotivated \n\n\n\nWHO SHOULD YOU INVITE AND SHOULD ATTEND -WHY \n\n\nAnyone with latent potential \n\n\nABOUT THE PRESENTER: DAMIEN GOODEN \nDamien Gooden is a business owner\, people leader and self-confessed lover of people’s stories. \nAfter more than 25 years in small business\, he’s become fascinated by a simple question: why do we do what we do\, and how did we become that way? \nWhat began as an “HR problem” in another business grew into HR Central Group\, but the real lesson wasn’t about Human Resources. It was about the Human Story. The habits we form\, the stories we tell ourselves\, the routines we never question and the behaviours that quietly shape our success. \nDamien loves hearing how people got to where they are today. Their wins\, failures\, turning points and blind spots. Because hidden inside those stories is usually the answer to what makes them tick. Over the years\, he’s discovered that understanding people is far more interesting\, and often far more valuable\, than trying to manage them. Drawing on decades of experience working with business owners and teams\, Damien brings a practical and often challenging perspective on awareness\, behaviour and change. \nHis message is simple: most of us aren’t as busy as we think we are… we’re programmed. The trick is learning which programs are helping us\, which are holding us back\, and having the courage to change them.

SUMMARY:Burning Mind 5 - Leading in an AI-First World
DESCRIPTION:Leading in an AI-First World\nA keynote and hands-on workshop for leaders ready to move beyond AI experimentation\nAI is no longer a technology conversation. It is a leadership conversation. \nMost organisations are still approaching AI as a tool to improve productivity\, automate tasks\, or generate content faster. While these applications are valuable\, they only scratch the surface of what is possible. \nThe real opportunity lies in understanding how AI is reshaping organisations\, decision-making\, capability\, and competitive advantage. Leaders now need to think beyond adoption and start considering how they will lead their people\, teams\, and businesses through one of the most significant shifts of our time. \nThis highly interactive workshop is designed to help leaders move from curiosity to clarity. More than a discussion about AI\, it will help you begin building your own AI Leadership Blueprint — a practical framework for leading in an AI-first world. \n  \n\n\nPresented by Futurist\, Author and AI Strategist Andy Lark\nAndy Lark is one of Australasia’s leading voices on AI\, innovation\, and digital transformation. A globally recognised futurist\, entrepreneur\, bestselling author\, and advisor\, Andy has spent more than two decades helping organisations navigate technological change and build future-ready businesses. \nHis career spans leadership roles with some of the world’s most recognised organisations\, including Xero\, Commonwealth Bank\, Dell\, Foxtel\, and Liven. He helped scale Xero from a start-up into a global software powerhouse and has advised businesses ranging from emerging technology ventures to large enterprises and government organisations. \nToday\, Andy works with business leaders around the world to understand the practical implications of AI\, digital transformation\, and emerging technologies. Known for his ability to translate complex concepts into practical action\, he has spoken to hundreds of thousands of leaders globally and is regularly called upon to help organisations prepare for what comes next. \nMore importantly\, Andy doesn’t just talk about AI. He has built\, invested in\, and advised AI-driven businesses\, giving him a practical perspective on how leaders can use technology to create growth\, capability\, and competitive advantage. \n  \n\n\nWhat We Will Explore\nAI Leadership Competency\nYou cannot lead what you do not understand. \nThis session will help leaders build a practical understanding of AI\, where it fits within modern organisations\, and how it can be used as a leadership tool. We will explore how AI is changing work\, decision-making\, leadership effectiveness\, and organisational capability. \nLeading the AI Shift\nAI transformation is not simply a technology project. It requires new behaviours\, new ways of working\, and new leadership disciplines. \nWe will explore how leaders can guide their teams through change\, build confidence\, reduce resistance\, and use AI to accelerate learning\, collaboration\, and performance. \nBuilding AI-First Business Models\nThe greatest opportunities will not come from adding AI to existing processes. They will come from rethinking how value is created. \nTogether we will examine how AI can reshape operations\, unlock capacity\, improve capability\, accelerate growth\, and strengthen both the top and bottom line. \n  \nWho Should Attend\nThis workshop is designed for CEOs\, founders\, executives\, senior leaders\, and managers who know AI will impact their organisation and want a practical framework for leading the transition. \nYou will leave with: \n• A clearer understanding of AI’s leadership implications\n• Practical frameworks for navigating change\n• New ideas for creating value with AI\n• The foundations of your own AI Leadership Blueprint \nAI will not simply change the tools we use. \nIt will change how we lead\, how our teams work\, and how our organisations compete. \nThe question is no longer whether AI will reshape your organisation. \n  \nThe question is whether you are ready to lead it. \n  \nGot Questions? SUMMARY:Family Advisors Banking - FAB Day Experience
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an intimate lunch discussion with Russ Eley\, Chief Geologist at MDF Global. \n\n\n\n\nCopper is everywhere in the headlines. From AI data centres to global electrification\, the narrative is clear: demand is about to explode. But is there enough supply to meet this demand? \nThe reality is more nuanced. In fact\, a tremendous amount of copper has been discovered over the past 20 years\, yet the coming decade still looks critically tight. Global copper production is projected to peak at 33 million metric tons in 2030 and then decline. Meanwhile\, demand is expected to surge 50% by 2040\, driven by electrification\, renewable energy\, and AI infrastructure. J.P. Morgan recently cut its 2026 copper supply-growth forecast to 1.4% (from 4.0%)\, pointing to an expected ~330\,000-ton refined copper deficit in 2026. Supply is fragile\, ore grades are falling\, and bringing new mines online takes a decade or more. \nTo separate fact from fiction\, we’re thrilled to host Russ Eley\, a geoscientist with 28 years of diverse exploration experience around the globe. He’s currently Chief Geologist at MDF Global\, and prior to that\, he was at BHP for 7 years – initially in Angola\, then Singapore on their global exploration team. After that\, he was at Rio Tinto for 13 years\, when he left in 2024\, he was head of Exploration Data Science. With a passion for prioritising investment/partnership opportunities around the globe\, Russ has helped deliver game-changing initiatives\, insights\, and innovation for the world’s largest mining companies and junior explorers. In addition to his exploration day job\, Russ was also responsible for Rio’s long-term supply forecasts for various commodities\, led numerous studies to help Rio prioritise which commodities to prioritise\, and oversaw numerous technology-development initiatives. \nPart of the copper solution may come from Copper Bay\, one of the Alaskan copper assets that MDF is evaluating. \nIn addition to copper\, Russ will touch on the Antimony market. Antimony: The critical metal the U.S. is desperate for. \nChina controls roughly 90% of global production and has imposed export bans\, creating severe supply risks for the U.S. and other Western nations. The U.S. has zero domestic primary antimony production despite 85% import dependence\, making domestic supply a national security imperative. \nHe will briefly cover why Felix Gold (ASX: FXG) may be a major contributor to helping the US solve this problem. \nI’m sure we will also hear some interesting stories out of his global travels throughout Africa and the Americas \nIf you would like to hear from someone with a front-row seat to the real supply–demand dynamics shaping the next decade of critical metals\, this will be an interesting discussion. \nIf you’re invested in copper\, antimony\, or the broader critical minerals story — or simply want the real story behind the hype — this lunch discussion is not to be missed. \n\n\n\n\n\nGot Questions?\nPlease contact \nMatt Murray – commonsense@uncommonexperiences.com.au / 0419 432 062\nYani – community@uncommonexperiences.com.au / 03 8323 0340

SUMMARY:D.A.T.A Day Experience
DESCRIPTION:Technology is evolving faster than ever\, but meaningful conversations are becoming harder to find. \nD.A.TA. Crowd was created for technology leaders who value genuine relationships over traditional networking. If you’ve ever left an industry event with a pocket full of business cards but no real connections\, you’ll understand why this community exists. \nWe’ve removed everything people dislike about conventional networking and created an intimate\, highly curated\, invitation-only experience where conversations matter. There are no presentations\, no pitches\, and no pressure to “work the room.” Instead\, we bring together the right people and provide a framework that naturally builds trust\, encourages collaboration\, and creates lasting professional relationships. \nTechnology leaders face unique challenges. Whether you’re navigating cybersecurity risks\, AI adoption\, digital transformation\, cloud strategy\, data governance\, infrastructure\, vendor relationships\, or building high-performing teams\, some of the best insights come from honest conversations with peers who have faced similar challenges. \nD.A.TA. Crowd is where CIOs\, CTOs\, IT Directors\, Heads of Technology\, Digital Leaders\, Data Leaders\, and senior technology professionals can openly share experiences\, exchange ideas\, and learn what is actually working in the real world. \nWe don’t promise leads or sales opportunities. We create an environment where genuine relationships develop naturally\, because the best business outcomes are built on trust\, not transactions. \nYou’ll leave each lunch with fresh perspectives\, practical ideas\, valuable connections\, and the confidence that comes from learning alongside some of Victoria’s most respected technology leaders. \n\nWho Attends?\nD.A.TA. Crowd brings together senior technology decision-makers who want to: \n\nConnect with peers facing similar technology and leadership challenges.\nDiscuss emerging technologies\, AI\, cybersecurity\, cloud\, data\, infrastructure\, and digital transformation.\nShare real experiences about vendors\, platforms\, software\, and implementation successes (and failures).\nExchange ideas on leadership\, team development\, innovation\, governance\, and strategy.\nBuild trusted relationships with technology leaders across industries.\n\n\nInvitation Only\nD.A.TA. Crowd is a private\, invitation-only community. \nIf you’d like to invite someone\, they should be someone you would happily invite to dinner at your own home. We look for people who are generous with their knowledge\, lead with integrity\, have an abundance mindset\, and contribute positively to every conversation. \n\nOur Promise\nAfter every D.A.TA crowd lunch\, you’ll leave feeling inspired\, connected\, challenged\, and equipped with new ideas—and surrounded by people you’ll genuinely want to stay in touch with. \n\nQuestions? Know when to bring in the experts. \nAI has completely changed what is possible when it comes to building technology. \nIn this session\, we will explore the best approaches and tools available today to turn an idea into something real\, from testing an idea and building a prototype to creating a product ready for the real world. \nThrough practical demos\, we will demonstrate just how quickly AI can turn an idea into something tangible\, and why planning first is still a must to give AI the context it needs to build the right thing. \nWe will also explore the limits\, risks and where experienced technical support still matters. \nTechnology has changed dramatically. This session is about how you can take advantage of it right now. \nBio:  \nAndrew Romeo is the Co-Founder and CEO of Aerion Technologies\, a software and technology company he co-founded in 2008. \nWith nearly two decades of experience in technology\, Andrew works with business leaders\, founders and entrepreneurs to turn ideas and business problems into practical software solutions.
SUMMARY:Uncommon Local - West Day Experience
