SUMMARY:Uncommon Local- Bayside
DESCRIPTION:It’s Common Sense to connect with amazing people — that’s why we created Uncommon Local Bayside. A chance for those who live and work in the Bayside area to come together\, connect\, and truly get to know one another. It’s an extension of our community that’s a little more relaxed\, giving our members the added benefit of strengthening relationships with each other and with friends and contacts who call Bayside home. \nThe Bayside area is full of hidden gems — from beachside restaurants to local favourites tucked away in its suburbs. This lunch is all about discovering these places while building strong relationships with people who share the same spirit of connection and community. We’re always on the lookout for recommendations of your favourite Bayside spots to add to the list. \nYour booking secures your place at the table\, with lunch included. Simply come along\, enjoy the food\, and focus on what matters most — connecting with great people. \nWe’ve also created groups around Melbourne — from the West to the Mornington Peninsula — with the vision of bringing them all together for something truly special. \nAt Uncommon Experiences\, we believe networking is overrated — but genuine connection never is. We’ve stripped away everything people dislike about conventional networking to design intimate\, invitation-only experiences. Each lunch is guided by a connection framework that accelerates building real relationships\, without the pressure of being “sold to.” This is Un-Networking. \n  \nGot Questions? \nPlease contact \nMatt Murray – commonsense@uncommonexperiences.com.au or 0419 432 062 \nYani – community@uncommonexperiences.com.au / 038 323 0340

SUMMARY:OMSB Day Experience
DESCRIPTION:We created Uncommon Experiences because we dislike networking but love connecting. Talking to interesting people who are interested in us. If we couldn’t find this\, then others must be having the same issue. \nOur Men’s Only Group ( OMSB… If you know you know) is a welcoming space designed to foster genuine relationships beyond the workplace. Here\, conversations aren’t about titles or business — they’re about life\, experiences\, and building trust. By stepping away from work talk\, we create room for deeper understanding and authentic connection. It’s an opportunity to share stories\, support one another\, and strengthen bonds in a relaxed and respectful setting. \nWe remove the uncertainty around who you should be introduced to and why.\nWe eliminate superficial small talk like “So\, what do you do?” to go beyond the mundane talk about sports or house prices. We focus on ensuring everyone quickly builds deep connections and high levels of trust. \nYou will not be met with hundreds of business cards thrown at you or a room full of people selling while no one is listening. We call this Business Relations (BR). We are told we are different. We like to think everyone should receive this level of respect. \nOur promise is that at each Uncommon Experiences event you attend\, you will leave more inspired\, energized\, connected\, and motivated than when you walked in. \nWhen was the last event you attended that offered this kind of promise? \nReviews & Feedback\nSome feedback from attendees: \n“I’ve attended every kind of corporate event\, but the dinner I attended was hands down the best event I’ve been to in the last 5–6 years.” \n— Alan Hodgson\, Telephony and Network Lead at GPC Asia Pacific \n“When is the next one? I’m booking in now!” \nCan Anyone Attend This Dinner?\nNot exactly. We are not for all people and all people are not for us. The dinner is for men and by invitation only\, if you would like to attend without an invitation please get in touch and we can have a chat.

SUMMARY:Uncommon Local - Mornington
DESCRIPTION:It’s Common Sense to connect with amazing people and we created Uncommon Mornington to bring the people we know who live on the Peninsula to connect and truly get to know one another. An extension of our experiences that is a little more relaxed as an added benefit for our members to further build stronger relationships with each other and their friends and contacts who live on the coast \nIts great to meet wonderful people and find interesting and unique restaurants\, wineries and hidden establishments while continuing to build strong relationships with people that have also decided that living where they are is amazing. We are always looking for fantastic suggestions and family favourites to add to the list. \nThis booking is so that we know who is coming as we have grown it has become harder to book a place without the numbers. You will still purchase the meal you wish and pay for your own alcohol \nWe have another group for people that reside on the Mornington Peninsula and that like to play golf. They usually tee off in the morning do 9 holes ruin a perfectly good walk then come and join us for lunch. We intend to have four different groups around Melbourne and bring them together once a year for a Golf Competition. If you are interested please reach out. \nWe created Uncommon Experiences because we dislike networking but love connecting. Talking to interesting people who are interested in us. If we couldn’t find this then others must be having the same issue. \nWe eliminated everything people dislike about conventional networking to make an intimate\, highly curated invitation-only experience and community. Complete with a connection framework designed to accelerate the building of relationships and mutual understanding without being “sold to.” This is Un-Networking. \nIt’s Common Sense yet almost every other networking event doesn’t understand the audience attending. Who they are as a person or what’s most important to them. People want to work with those that they like\, and to like someone you must know them. The stronger the relationship the more connected you are. The more connected you become the longer business relations will last. We understand you are more than what you and we celebrate and showcase this. We don’t guarantee leads we enhance relationships. \n  \nGot Questions? \nPlease contact \nMatt Murray – commonsense@uncommonexperiences.com.au or 0419 432 062 \nYani – community@uncommonexperiences.com.au / 038 323 0340

He provides one-on-one Schema Coaching for leaders and high-performing professionals\, helping them overcome hidden personal barriers that limit their potential. \nAs a registered Psychotherapist & Counsellor\, Tim specialises in supporting people with anxiety\, PTSD\, depression\, and relationship difficulties that impact daily functioning and work-life balance. \nHe has worked with complex clients across diverse settings\, including psychiatric care\, residential rehabilitation\, AOD (Alcohol & Other Drugs)\, and forensic sectors. He has also managed a team of clinicians for a large not-for-profit family services agency and provided consultation to clinical staff at Eastern Health’s psychiatric inpatient units and hospital programs. \nTim has developed and piloted programs with Victoria Legal Aid (family law) and with Box Hill & Maroondah Hospitals (psychiatric services). \nHaving lived many lives\, Tim’s current one is all about helping others—as his role as a (somewhat obsessive) Schema Psychotherapist and Coach reflects. A colourful early life sparked his curiosity and fascination with people\, taking him through many different spaces but always with one unifying theme: a genuine interest in understanding and supporting those who need it most. \nAfter brief stints in finance\, retail\, and even a short-lived career arranging the installation of phone boxes (remember those?)\, Tim found his true calling in helping people—and he’s never looked back. \nToday\, Tim divides his time between Schema Coaching and his busy private Psychotherapy & Counselling practice—and he suspects he always will.

SUMMARY:Business lessons to share with your children by Sam Saltis
DESCRIPTION:What we’ll share \nThe fundamental business principles that took me 30 years to learn. These are survival lessons divided into four categories: Start-up\, Scaling\, family\, and personal that I wish someone had shared with me on day one. You’ll hear real stories about navigating clients\, cash flow\, partnerships\, and critical crossroads moments. No theory – just what did and didn’t work. \nWhat are the benefits \nYou’ll skip years of costly mistakes. These lessons are too practical for business school. You’ll make informed decisions faster\, avoid common traps\, and spot opportunities and red flags earlier. You’ll get a toolkit you can use. \nWhat you’ll walk away with \nA cheat sheet of principles you can use Monday morning. Each principle includes the real story behind it – the mistake or breakthrough that taught me. You’ll gain permission to challenge conventional wisdom and the confidence that comes from knowing others faced the same struggles. \nHow you’ll feel after (the 1%) \nValidated and fired up. Your struggles aren’t unique – they’re universal truths every business person navigates. You’ll feel equipped\, like someone handed you a map for terrain you’ve been stumbling through blind. You’ll have insider knowledge that separates people who repeat mistakes from those who break through. \nWho should attend \nBusiness owners tired of learning the expensive way. Anyone stuck at a crossroads or facing a big decision. Leaders who mentor their teams. Even experienced business owners/Entrepreneurs  – hearing someone articulate what you’ve learned validates your instincts and fills gaps.  Can include\, business partner\, someone you’re mentoring\, or that friend who constantly asks for advice. \nAbout the presenter \nSam Saltis is the visionary founder and CEO of Core dna\, a leading SaaS platform built to simplify digital experiences for marketing teams. With over 20 years in the web technology space\, Sam has dedicated his career to helping businesses streamline website management\, accelerate deployment\, and ensure security—without relying on heavy code. Under his leadership\, Core dna has empowered companies to scale their digital presence with greater efficiency and confidence. \nBeyond the boardroom\, Sam is a passionate traveler\, foodie\, and golf enthusiast who loves discovering new technology. A dog lover at heart and a fan of Deadpool’s unconventional flair\, Sam draws inspiration from Simon Sinek’s Start with Why\, appreciating its clarity and purpose-driven message. On his bucket list? Buying a home in Europe\, traveling in an RV\, and giving back by volunteering at a tech accelerator. \nSam brings a unique blend of technical insight\, entrepreneurial grit\, and human connection to everything he does.

SUMMARY:OMSB Evening Experience

SUMMARY:Construction Architecture Building - CAB Evening Experience
DESCRIPTION:We created Construction Architecture Building (CAB) because these industries are the backbone of the Australian economy. Success in building depends on collaboration\, trust\, and strong relationships — one weak link can multiply challenges\, but the right connections make everything run more smoothly.\nToo often\, industry events stay within silos. Electricians with electricians\, builders with builders\, surveyors with surveyors. At CAB\, we break those walls down. We believe the more you understand the people who work before and after you in the process\, the better the outcome for everyone.\nOur purpose is to connect you across the sector so you can build lifelong relationships\, find people you trust\, and improve the way projects are delivered.\nIn an industry where careers often span a lifetime\, investing in the right relationships isn’t just valuable — it’s essential. That’s what CAB is here to help you do.

DESCRIPTION:We created Uncommon Experiences because we dislike networking but love connecting. Talking to interesting people who are interested in us. If we couldn’t find this then others must be having the same issue. We eliminated everything people dislike about conventional networking to make an intimate\, highly curated invitation-only experience and community. We understand you are more than what you do and celebrate and showcase this. We don’t guarantee leads we enhance relationships. We remove the uncertainty around who you should be introduced to and why. We eliminate superficial small-talk like “So what do you do?” to go beyond the mundane talk about COVID\, sports\, or house prices. SUMMARY:Uncommon Local - Bayside
\nGot Questions? \nPlease contact \nMatt Murray – commonsense@uncommonexperiences.com.au | 0419 432 062 \nYani – community@uncommonexperiences.com.au |038 323 0340 \n0

SUMMARY:The Abundance Evening Experience
DESCRIPTION:This group is for people who believe in possibility\, generosity\, and growth. We bring together individuals who want to live and work with an abundance mindset — whether in business\, personal development\, or community impact. \nHere\, you’ll find conversations that inspire\, connections that uplift\, and opportunities to give as much as you receive. Together we explore how abundance can shape our choices\, expand our success\, and create positive ripple effects in every part of life. \nBecause abundance grows when it’s shared. \n  \nThe simple rule of attendance: the five-minute favour: \nYou must be willing to do something that will take you five minutes or less for anybody in the room. \nThis increases results by opening the door for you and others to gain benefits from people they’ve never helped— or even met. By creating a norm of adding value\, you transform giving from a zero-sum loss to a win-win gain. \n  \nMost people laugh when they hear that the secret to success is giving. Then again\, most people are nowhere near as successful as they wish they were. \nCome join in the abundance circle and experience the power of reciprocity. \nGot Questions? \nPlease contact \nMatt Murray – commonsense@uncommonexperiences.com.au | 0419 432 062 \nYani – community@uncommonexperiences.com.au |038 323 0340

SUMMARY:Making Work Work: Helping Teams Succeed by Abaran Deep
DESCRIPTION:How businesses can create clarity\, momentum and engagement — without more people\, more budget\, or more complexity. \nIn this Masterclass\, Abaran shares stories drawn from high-stakes delivery environments — from banks to defence programs to major transformation projects — and distils them into simple\, practical habits any small business can adopt. These are not theories. They are the small changes that helped teams overcome confusion\, get aligned\, and deliver with confidence. \nWHY ATTEND \n\nBecause leading a small team can feel like juggling chaos — this session shows how to bring clarity and calm.\nBecause most teams don’t fail from lack of effort; they fail from lack of visibility\, structure\, and shared understanding.\nBecause improving team performance doesn’t need huge investments — small\, smart changes can unlock big results.\n\nWHAT WILL YOU SEE \n\nHow a heat map helped reduce complexity for senior stakeholders so they could understand progress and make decisions.\nHow simplifying a reporting process reduced effort and unlocked focus and alignment across an executive team.\nHow a simulation built a shared understanding of what was actually happening vs what people thought was happening.\nHow a simple planning structure brought clarity to one of Australia’s largest defence programs.\nHow injecting fun\, built team spirit and resilience under pressure.\n\nWHAT ARE THE BENEFITS \n\nYou’ll learn five ideas that are immediately usable in any business.\nYou’ll understand how visual tools and simple structures reduce friction and decision fatigue.\nYou’ll see how small moments of levity can strengthen culture and improve delivery outcomes.\n\nWHAT WILL YOU WALK AWAY WITH \n\nA practical toolkit: five repeatable habits to improve how your team communicates and collaborates.\nSimple templates you can adapt for your own business — heat maps\, clarity diagrams\, lightweight reporting.\nA new way to think about team performance: less complexity\, more clarity\, more impact.\n\nHOW WILL YOU FEEL AFTER (THE 1%-ER) \n\nMore confident in how you lead your team day-to-day.\nEnergised to make small changes that create immediate improvements.\nReassured that high performance is achievable without burning your team out or blowing your budget.\n\nWHO SHOULD YOU INVITE & SHOULD ATTEND — AND WHY \n\nBusiness owners wanting practical\, no-nonsense ways to get more from their teams.\nTeam leaders and operations managers who want simple tools to improve alignment and momentum.\nEmerging leaders or founders who want to build strong delivery habits early\, before scaling.\n\nABOUT THE PRESENTER: \nAbaran is a highly experienced technology and transformation leader with nearly 30 years of line management and consulting experience across banking\, utilities\, and mining. He has a strong track record of helping large\, complex organisations solve tough problems\, transform existing processes\, and build new capabilities through technology-enabled change and performance improvement. \nThroughout his career\, Abaran has led complex technology\, regulatory\, and data programs\, working closely with executive and delivery teams to navigate uncertainty\, resource constraints\, and tight timelines to achieve meaningful business outcomes. What drives him most is partnering with teams to overcome challenges and deliver the results clients are truly aiming for. \nIn recent years\, Abaran has focused heavily on financial services and regulatory transformation\, particularly within the Consumer Data Right (CDR). Through his firm\, RedCrew\, he has worked with mutual banks\, non-bank lenders\, government\, and industry participants to design Australia’s CDR regime and support organisations in achieving compliance readiness. Today\, RedCrew’s CDR Check-Up program helps lenders assess readiness\, close compliance gaps\, and turn regulatory pressure into strategic advantage. \nAway from work\, Abaran’s passion for project delivery continues in a more hands-on way through DIY wood and metalworking. His hidden talent? Yoga headstands.

SUMMARY:Uncommon Local – West Day Experience
DESCRIPTION:It’s Common Sense to connect with amazing people\, and we created How the West was Won First Friday to bring the people we know who live in the West to connect and truly get to know one another. An extension that is a little more relaxed as an added benefit for our members to further build stronger relationships with each other and their friends and contacts who live in the West. \nI moved to the West a few months before COVID and knew no one. It was lonely and a long way to visit or meet in the CBD. Its great to meet wonderful people and find interesting and unique restaurants\, wineries and hidden establishments while continuing to build strong relationships with people that have also decided that the West is Best. We are always looking for fantastic suggestions and family favourites to add to the list. \nThis Booking is so that we know who is coming\, as we have grown\, it has become harder to book a place. You will still purchase the meal you wish and pay for your alcohol \nWe also have a Golf Group that tees off and completes 9 holes before joining us for lunch. If you are interested in ruining a good walk\, happy to introduce you. They play Ambrose at the amazing golf courses we have around the West. We have another group for people who reside on the Mornington Peninsula. We intend to have four different groups around Melbourne and bring them together once a year for a Golf Competition. \nWe created Uncommon Experiences because we dislike networking but love connecting. Talking to interesting people who are interested in us. If we couldn’t find this\, then others must be having the same issue. \nWe eliminated everything people dislike about conventional networking to make an intimate\, highly curated\, invitation-only experience and community. Complete with a connection framework designed to accelerate the building of relationships and mutual understanding without being “sold to.” This is Un-Networking. \n  \nGot Questions? \nPlease contact \nMatt Murray – commonsense@uncommonexperiences.com.au | 0419 432 062 \nYani – community@uncommonexperiences.com.au |038 323 0340

SUMMARY:Uncommon Local - Yarra Day Experience
DESCRIPTION:We created Uncommon Experiences because we dislike networking but love connecting. Talking to interesting people who are interested in us. If we couldn’t find this\, then others must be having the same issue. We eliminated everything people dislike about conventional networking to make an intimate\, highly curated\, invitation-only experience and community. Complete with a connection framework designed to accelerate the building of relationships and mutual understanding without being “sold to.” This is Un-Networking. \nIt’s Common Sense\, yet almost every other networking event doesn’t understand the audience attending. Who they are as a person or what’s most important to them. People want to work with those that they like\, and to like someone\, you must know them. The stronger the relationship\, the more connected you are. The more connected you become\, the longer business relations will last. We understand you are more than what you do\, and celebrate and showcase this. We don’t guarantee leads; we enhance relationships. We remove the uncertainty around who you should be introduced to and why. We eliminate superficial small-talk like “So what do you do?” to go beyond the mundane talk about COVID\, sports\, or house prices. We focus on ensuring everyone quickly builds deep connections and high levels of trust. You will not be met with hundreds of business cards thrown at you or a room of people selling\, and no one listening. We call this Business Relations (BR). We are told we are different. We like to think everyone should receive this level of respect. \nOur promise is that at each Uncommon Experience you attend\, you will leave us more inspired\, energised\, connected\, and motivated than when you walked in. When was the last event you attended that offered this kind of promise? \nWho attends these experiences?\nThis lunch is for experts\, leaders\, thinkers and strategists from Yarra who want to: \n\nStay up to date with industry trends and innovation\nConnect and collaborate with the best minds in Victoria\nLive in and around the Yarra Valley\nLearn how to deal with suppliers\, internal management and customers in such a demanding role\nEngage with like-minded and unlike-minded individuals\n\n

SUMMARY:Uncommon Local - Bayside Day Experience
\nGot Questions? \nPlease contact \nMatt Murray – commonsense@uncommonexperiences.com.au | 0419 432 062 \nYani – community@uncommonexperiences.com.au |038 323 0340 \n
