About The OMSB experience
We created Uncommon Experiences because we dislike networking but love connecting. Talking to interesting people who are interested in us. If we couldn't find this then others must be having the same issue. We eliminated everything people dislike about conventional networking to make an intimate, highly curated invitation-only experience and community. Complete with a connection framework designed to accelerate the building of relationships and mutual understanding without being “sold to.” This is Un-Networking.
It’s Common Sense yet almost every other networking event doesn’t understand the audience attending. Who they are as a person or what’s most important to them. People want to work with those that they like, and to like someone you must know them. The stronger the relationship the more connected you are. The more connected you become the longer business relations will last.
We understand you are more than what you do and celebrate and showcase this. We don’t guarantee leads we enhance relationships. We remove the uncertainty around who you should be introduced to and why. We eliminate superficial small-talk like “So what do you do?” to go beyond the mundane talk about COVID, sports, or house prices. We focus on ensuring everyone quickly builds deep connections and high levels of trust. You will not be met with hundreds of business cards thrown at you or a room of people selling, and no one listening. We call this Business Relations (BR).
We are told we are different. We like to think everyone should receive this level of respect.
Our promise is that at each Uncommon Experiences you attend, you will leave more inspired energised, connected, and motivated than when you walked in - When was the last event you attended that offered this kind of promise?
Purpose of each experience
A fun and relaxed night out with your peers. We’ll help facilitate new and meaningful relationships.
- Meet someone new
- Reconnect with someone you know
- Learn something new
- Be reminded of something you know to be valuable but have forgotten

Pedigree of our club
Respected members of our community who have attended one or more of the Uncommon Experiences include:
Spicy Web Founder - Tony Sambell
Tony Sambell is the son of an aquaculture farmer. Not surprisingly his favourite meat is seafood. He was raised in rural Queensland with his brother and sister. Tony now has his own small acreage but traded the fish raising for horses, chickens, and Pokemon.
Tony lives in the trees and has his office at the beach to make the most of the time he has and his passion for driving his Japanese sports car as much as he can. He met his wonderful wife while still in university after she moved from Russia when she was 12. His wife Milla not only gave Tony a family but taught him how to dance which she continues to do today.
His genius zone is people and being empathetic and easy to be around and if money were no object he would mentor others.
P & B Law Founding Director - Lindsay Kotzman
Lindsay has a passion for restaurants and is always looking for new places to eat out in Melbourne - so if you have a good restaurant be sure to pass on the tip. Lindsay is agnostic when it comes to his favorite tipple and enjoys a good gin & tonic, both red & white wine, and has been known to partake in an Aperol spritz or two. Do not hold it against him but he is a confessed Collingwood fan but to make up for that he is also a dog lover. A trip to India is on his bucket list and his favorite book is I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes
His genius zone lies in identifying the right outcome quickly - think problems with development, tenant, franchisee, or even getting sued and then organizing the troops to achieve a great outcome.
Majestic Computer Technology CEO - Tal Evans
Tal was born in Israel and lived there until the age of 13 before emigrating to Australia. He loves spending time with his wife who he would be lost without after more than a quarter of a decade propping him up and supporting both their two wonderful daughters and their life together. You would not know it to look at him, but he was an avid woodworker too and is allergic to cats. Though, he is unlikely to reengage in his hobbies too soon as he loves what he does now.
As CEO of Majestic Computer Tehcnology with a focus on Digital Innovation, Advisory and Consulting Tal has an amazing understanding of people and what service is. He is always looking to help with new ideas and ways of doing things, particularly if you are in a mess with your systems or your existing IT provider is not cutting it anymore. He has a very dry direct sense of humour and is a steadfast friend.

I’ve attended every kind of corporate event but the dinner I attended was hands down the best event I’ve been to in the last 5-6 years.
When is the next one, I'm booking in now!

These events aim to facilitate new and meaningful relationships. Where people can change how they think, work, and more importantly - collaborate.
We crave connection and growth. To find it we often turn to networking organisations - all of them characterised by shallow conversations, transactional relationships, and the anxiety of impressing others. Lacking trust and accountability.
The secret to success in life and business is learning how to connect and form relationships with other people.
How can deep relationships be formed based on mutual trust and accountability? How do you rediscover intimate business relationships with depth and meaning?
The answer isn't another app, networking organisation or course. The answer lies in deep peer-based relationships that start with an abundance mindset at their foundation.
By building a space and a framework for giving we build greater trust, collaboration and abundance in our lives.
3 reasons why this works:
- Scientifically Proven Reciprocity: Give before you ask.
- Increased Influence: Build trust and collaboration.
- Simplicity in Asking: Create a space for giving.
Add Value Don’t Trade Value
Networks are a vehicle for creating value for everyone, not just claiming it for ourselves.
In traditional old-school reciprocity, people traded value back and forth by only helping the people who helped them and giving to the people from whom they wanted something in return. To spark a more powerful form of reciprocity instead of trading value, the aim is to add value.
The simple rule of attendance: the five-minute favour:
You must be willing to do something that will take you five minutes or less for anybody in the room.
This increases results by opening the door for you and others to gain benefits from people they’ve never helped— or even met. By creating a norm of adding value, you transform giving from a zero-sum loss to a win-win gain.
Networks Advantage
The key benefits of participating in an abundance circle are:
- Real problems are solved
- Increase of knowledge
- Achieve your goals
- High-quality connections
- Career boost
- Happiness and Health
- Trust building
- Reputation increase
The value you bring to the session includes:
- What you know (your knowledge)
- What you can do (your skills)
- Who you know (your network)
- What you have (your resources)
By developing a strong network, people gain invaluable access to private information, diverse skills, expertise, and influence.
People go unappreciated because they give everything away for free to the wrong people. By surrounding yourself with other abundant people you allow the reciprocity to return to the group.
Most people laugh when they hear that the secret to success is giving. Then again, most people are nowhere near as successful as they wish they were.
Come join in the abundance circle and experience the power of reciprocity.
