Al Dente Cooking
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to make fresh pasta from scratch, including traditional lasagne, gnocchi, spinach & ricotta ravioli, and fettuccine. You’ll also master three complementary sauces and learn how to use a pasta machine to create a gourmet meal. The class is led by Ana, a professional chef, who will guide you through the entire process. Afterward, enjoy the delicious meal you've created with a bottle of Yarra Valley wine. The class runs from 9am to 1pm.

Pedigree of our club
Respected members of our community who have attended one or more of the Uncommon Experiences include:
Tal Evans - CEO, Majestic Computer Technology & Agile Health Computing
Tal was born in Israel and lived there until the age of 13 before emigrating to Australia. He loves spending time with his wife who he would be lost without after nearly a quarter of a decade propping him up and supporting both their two wonderful daughters and their life together. You wouldn’t know it to look at him, but he was an avid woodworker too. Though, he is unlikely to reengage in his hobbies too soon as he loves what he does now.
Tal has an amazing understanding of people and what service is. He is always looking to help with new ideas and ways of doing things, particularly if you are in a mess with your systems or your existing IT provider isn't cutting it anymore. He has a very dry direct sense of humor and is a steadfast friend.
Tal’s goal is to meet other abundance thinkers and enjoys helping others and being helped. His measure of success is to help at least 10 other people achieve their own success in business before he retires.
Bronwyn Stanton - Source Central Partners (ex USB Bank)
Bronwyn is a 5-time Oyster eating champion at The Botanical Hotel in South Yarra before the manager there begged her not to enter again. She has a Bachelor of Computer Science & Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University. After 20 years in the financial services industry made the switch to IT Sales & Marketing.
She's a long-suffering St Kilda Football Club fan who loves travel, DJ'ing and is a real foodie. On her bucket list is Hot Air Ballooning in Turkey. The one book she recommends is Purple Cow by Seth Godin and if money was no object she'd help with microfinancing for developing nations.
Michael McKinnon CIO Tesserant (ASX: TNT)
Michael has been involved with 5 different companies that have made the AFR fast-growing companies list.
He likes nothing more than to just build stuff and geek out. Just for fun, he has a side project to collate all the Australian website domains in existence. Like many techs, people got involved in Bitcoin and got scammed. Not much of a sports person as he prefers techie things like 3D printing and ethical hackers.
If money were no object he'd be sitting on the rear deck of a superyacht with his teenage boys enjoying quality time with them. The book he recommends is Command and Control by Eric Schlosser and he prefers dogs to cats.
Alan Gill Co-Founder of Choice Energy
Alan is a certified energy geek, a family man who cares about people, energy, a decent coffee and a rugby union (armchair fan). Alan loves both cats & dogs, and his favourite superhero is Thor. One book he recommended is Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth. Top of his bucket list is to have a PhD in Roman History.
Alan’s superpower is that he both understands and uses his fear and if money was no object he would spend his days helping people and hanging out with his family.
Reviews & feedback
Some feedback from people who have attended our experiences:
"Thoroughly enjoyed and learned a great deal from the creative genius of Finbar O’Hanlon. The Burning Mind session certainly lived up to all expectations. Having Finbar lead the session and actively teaching how to think creatively was indeed very special"
